I was recently introduced to the brand Uncle Dougie’s and it’s ah-mazing. If you are from the Chicago area I’m sure you’ve heard of them! In fact, the Chicago born company is the Official BBQ Sauce and Official Bloody Mary Mix of the Chicago Cubs! Cool right? I love the fact that Uncle Dougie’s has such an emphasis on quality too. That’s why you see everything labeled ‘no crap’ because there are no fillers or other nastiness in them. Their products are all natural and gluten free. And did I mention delicious?
The first thing I noticed when I saw the Uncle Dougie’s line was how fun it was. The boxes, the bottles, the names. You could tell right from the start that these weren’t your ordinary sauces!
So what do they have? Well – first of all sauces and marinades. They’ve got:
– The Sneaky Spicy BBQ Sauce (which was a winner at the Kansas City American Royal BBQ Competition!)
– Sweet n’ Snappy BBQ Sauce (which was the 1st place winner at the Kansas City American Royal BBQ Competition! And my personal favorite!)
– Wicked Good No Fry Wing Marinade (where it all began! The best, spiciest, tastiest wings will come from this marinade!)
– Kung Fused Asian Marinade (YUM! We put this on some coleslaw and served it on pork sliders and it was to die for!!!!)
– Tomato Heaven Small Batch Ketchup (what real ketchup is supposed to taste like!)
If Bloody Marys are your thing then you will have to get your hands on one of these mixes!

– Rich n’ Spicy
– Rich n’ Mild.
I didn’t try the mixes but if they are good enough to become the Chicago Cubs’ Official Drink Mix I’m going to guess they are pretty darn delicious.
Oh the hot sauces. Let me begin by saying – I’m not a hot sauce kind of girl. The cinnamon altoids – too hot for me! But when we made wings – the guys went NUTS for the hot sauces!! And I heard that they got pretty darn hot! (And that is coming from the crazies who like it the hotter the better!) 🙂
– Zesty Hot Sauce
– Smokin’ Polte
– Habanero Gold (I may have heard one of the kids yell “my mouth is on fire!’ with this one!)
And last but not least the rubs and seasonings!
– Downright Tasty (I’ve been using this on EVERYTHING!! Turkey Burgers, Beer Can Chicken, Pork Chops, Steak – you name it — it’s on it!!)

We first put Uncle Dougie’s to the test when we were getting ready to watch some Colt’s football! Because honestly does anything go better with football than wings?
I don’t think so.
They were seriously delicious. Caleb even took the whole bottle of hot sauce with him to the table!
So if you have someone on your shopping list who loves to cook or grill (OR if you would like to drop them a hint about making you something delicious with theses sauces!)
