Have you heard of Texas Carpet Baggers? I hadn’t until this past year! Becky HANDMAKES the most amazing handbags. The bags are more works of art because there is some serious craftsman (and woman!) -ship that goes into them.
First Becky sews the bags made of awesome prints or in the case of the bag I received, all leather. Then her husband David makes the solid oak handles and the oak wood bottoms of the bag.
I can not stress the amazing-ness of these bags! I have the large overnight bag (above!) and use it to hold my computer and work items. I love the wood handles, but also the fact it has a long shoulder strap. These bags are so sturdy and well constructed. I don’t have to worry about a strap breaking. (That’s happened to me on a previous computer bag. No fun.) And because of the wood bottom inside the bag, I don’t have to worry about the bottom wearing out either!! Plus it helps it stand on its own.
I also love the idea that Becky will make a bag for you using one of your own fabrics! How awesome is that?
