4th of July DIY decorations – display for under $10!
I thought today I would share my 4th of July shelf. The whole thing cost me about $10 to do! You have to love that!
Last week when I was planning out my blog posts I was thinking I would show the picture and then do a tutorial on how to do the crafts, but honestly they are so easy they don’t justify a tutorial!
Here is my breakdow of the shelf:
Flags in milk glass vase. I got the flags from the dollar bins from Target. $2
Milk glass vase – $1 from the thrift store
Pledge subway art – free to dowload from Eighteen25. I print mine at Office Max (12×18 I believe is the largest size you can go for cheap!) on card stock for about $1.50.
Wreath – used a straw wreath base $1.99 already had the yarn! It’s really simple project to do – I suggest doing it while watching a movie because honestly, it’s not the most exciting craft to do! 🙂 I cut my stars out of felt – I was even too lazy to hot glue my stars on. I just kind of stuck them on there!

God bless America print is from Landee See Landee Do. Again I printed it from Office Max – this one was a 5 by 7 print on cardstock for a whole 75 cents.
Flag painted on burlap. I just spray painted an old frame blue. Then simply, you guessed it, painted the flag.
I do recommend putting down a piece of wax paper under the burlap so the paint doesn’t seep through.
The rag garland. I love. Are you ready for this super hard craft? Pick out your fabric. I used 6 different kinds. Cut into strips. Then cut a piece of yarn the length you want your garland to be. Simply tie the strips of fabric onto the yarn. Yes. That’s it. You just tie it on. Simple.
I really like our patriotic display. I like the fact that it was quick, easy and didn’t cost much even more! How do you decorate for the 4th of July?
