What Cleaning Supplies You Need To Stock A Cleaning Caddy

We all want a clean home! Some of us (if you are like me!) don’t like spending tons of time cleaning. It’s not a ‘for fun’ type of thing but rather a ‘because I have to’ thing. But one thing that even this I-Hate-To-Clean-Unless-I’m-In-The-Mood-Cleaner will say is …. when your house is clean it’s so much nicer!! Nicer to come home to, easier to relax in, and all around just more enjoyable! So here are my must have items that every home should have!

The most convient way to store your cleaning supplies is inside a cleaning caddy. It will hold a lot and you can pick it up and easily move it from room to room.

They are also relatively inexpensive. This basic caddy is only $11.27 (and will ship for free with your Amazon Prime account. Don’t have an Amazon Prime account? You can sign up here for a free 30 day trial!)

So now that you have your caddy, what supplies do you really need to have to fill it with? Here is a list of must have supplies to tackle all of your home’s messes:

(My nice and clean windows after using Shaklee! You should have seen the before pictures! Yikes!)

Window Cleaner – Use window cleaner for windows, mirrors, cooktops, glass tops and to wipe down any chrome fixtures. I like Sprayway and if you are looking for a green cleaner Shaklee Window Cleaner is my favorite (You can read my full review here!)

Floor Cleaner – I regularly use my Swiffer so I have a pack of Swiffer WetJet pads, but I also keep a bottle of Mr. Clean Multipurpose cleaner! I love the Hawaiian scent! It’s great for floors as well as greasy messes, bathrooms, etc.

All Purpose Cleaner – Use an all purpose cleaner to wipe down the kitchen counters, table or sinks in the bathroom. My favorite is Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Counter Top Spray Lemon Verbena (the basil smells really good too!) Don’t forget about making your own! (Find out here!)

Bleach – Sometimes you need to break out the bleach to disinfect items! Don’t forget about a bleach pen! (See our how to clean grout article here)

Dusters – I love my Swiffer Duster for blinds and to grab all the dust off my ceiling fan. (Try it! No more dust falling everywhere!) But I also keep a bottle of Orange Pledge in for dusting the furniture!

Bathroom Cleaners – My favorite toilet cleaner won’t actually go into your cleaning caddy, it hangs on the side of your toilet. Convienent and out of the way – the Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush is my go to cleaner. I also love the Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Wipes for a quick clean up! Since both are flushable it makes cleaning up extra easy!

Rubber Gloves – No cleaning caddy should be without a pair of rubber gloves! Whether you go for a pair of the old school yellow kind or get a fancy pair (these are from Flirty Aprons and available in lots of fun colors/designs!) a pair of rubber gloves will protect your hands and nails from tough cleaning jobs.

Paper towels, rags, sponges (Learn how to disinfect and clean your sponges here!)

That’s what I keep in my cleaning caddy? What are your favorite cleaning supplies?
