Minecraft Gift Ideas
Do you have a gamer in your house? We do! Everything is all video games all the time it seems like. With the most popular one being Minecraft. I remember when Joshua first told me he wanted Minecraft. He showed it to me on the XBox and I thought it was an old game. I said, “No, you don’t want that.” Well, that was almost 4 years ago! And his Minecraft love has only increased since.
Here is a list of Minecraft gifts that any fan is sure to love!
My Top Picks:
This is actually one of my top picks! If there is something that my son loves more than playing Minecraft it’s watching Minecraft YouTube videos! This studio gives kids a set to create their own videos – for fun or for them to upload to social media. I think it’s a great way to introduce video editing, animation and computer skills. The set comes with a few characters (there are TONS of extra characters that you add to your collection) and you may consider an organizing/display kit to keep all of those characters from getting lost!
2. Minecraft Storymode – $29.99
This video game gets mixed reviews, but it seems that it is good for kids. Joshua seems excited to try it out so we are going to give it a try!
3. Minecraft: The Complete Handbook – An Official Mojang Book – $21.96
Joshua has had this in his Amazon wishlist for a while now. I’m all for gifts that involve reading!
4. Gameband for Minecraft – $79.99
If you have a super gamer, then this Gameband is a must. You wear it like a bracelet and you can plug it into any computer. It allows you to load your worlds, mods, and game play, even when not sitting at your computer. This is great for when kids go to their friends houses. Our library has Minecraft Mondays – they have the computers all set up and kids all come to play. This will be perfect!
5. YouthDigital Courses – $199.99-$235.49
Now, I know these are pricey, but this is one of those things that are completely worth the investment. Yes, I said investment! There are two Minecraft specific courses, Mod Design 1 and Server Design 1. Both of these products are award winning and teach kids computer coding. Like, real computer coding. Kids will learn Java code with over 30 hours worth of videos and online material. I can’t even begin to tell you what a valuable skill computer coding is in our technical world! With these kids don’t just play Minecraft, but they can actually create their own Minecraft servers to invite their friends to play on! Worth.Every.Penny.
6. Minecraft Lego Worlds – Price varies depending on world
We have the Micro World and it was a huge hit. So this year his wishlist includes some of the other Lego world kits like The Nether, Micro World – The End, and The Village. And if those don’t keep your kiddo busy enough, there are tons of other awesome Lego kits!
