Popcornopolis Review & DIY Pilgrim Hats

Popcorn isn’t just popped corn anymore! Popcornopolis has taken a traditional snack and turned it into a gourmet snack. They’ve blended in the nostalgic flavors of old-fashioned caramel, real cheddar cheese and confectioner’s chocolate into mouth-watering treats for you. There are no preservatives in their popcorn. Instead, they’ve invented a cool cone that will keep the popcorn fresh for months!

They offer lots of different flavors. If you were to ask me about my favorite, I honestly couldn’t tell you. The Kettle Corn was delicious, the Caramel Corn was amazing and the Zebra Popcorn was divine. I love the healthier option with the Nearly Naked Popcorn. And add in the tastes of Cinnamon Toast and Cheddar, it’s really impossible to choose! (And this is exactly why you go for a variety pack my friends!)

I really wanted to come up with a quick project for our kid’s table at Thanksgiving. We don’t eat until later on in the afternoon and usually we have a light breakfast and skip on lunch. The kids are always hungry so I try to put a little snack out for them. And what better than popcorn? Plus, it fits inside the Pilgrim hat’s perfectly!

You will need:

Black paper cups

Exacto knife

Black construction paper

Gold ric rac

Gold colored felt

Hot Glue

Here is how to make them:

1. Use an exacto knife and cut the bottom of the cup off of your cup.
   
   
2. Trace a circle shape onto black construction paper. Cut it out.
   
   
3. Hot glue the gold ric rack around the base of your cup.
   
   
4. Cut a square buckle out of the gold felt. Hot glue it on the ric rack.
   
   
5. Add hot glue to the rim of the cup.
   
   
6. Center the cup onto the construction paper circle.
   
   
7. Fill with your favorite Popcornopolis popcorn! We filled ours with the Caramel Corn.
