Pottery Barn Inspired Living Room: Get the Look For Less

Pottery Barn Inspired Living Room

I love getting catalogs in the mail. Do you remember when you were little and the toy catalogs would come before Christmas? I would circle the cool toys that I wanted and hoped for. Plus, everything new that I found that I didn’t even know that I wanted!

Many years later, I still get excited when catalogs get delivered. Flipping through dreaming of stocking my closet, redecorating our home, or cruises to take. And while I may not circle everything in them anymore, I do keep the catalogs around for longer than I should. And I keep my eyes open for look alike pieces that I can use to recreate the looks in my budget.

This living room is from Pottery Barn. Their website is just as full of inspiration as their catalogs! I love the neutral colors with the pop of patterns (and color) on the pillow.

I’m a big fan of splurging on things, but I also know I need to create things in my budget. Here are some great look alike pieces that we used to recreate the look.

The Sofa:

The original sofa from Pottery Barn is available in many colors and looks like you could just sink into it. But with a price tag of $2,299 (and living in a house with kids and dogs) it’s not in my budget. This Baxton Studio Leather Sectional Sofa has good reviews, ships for free and has the same shape that this room is looking for! Plus, it’s $888.38.

The Tables:

I love the look of the Tanner Cube Tables. They have a classic look, slightly industrial, clean lines and it will never go out of style. The end tables are $259 from Pottery Barn, but I found these Southern Enterprises Metal Frame End Tables from Target for just $66.99.

The Sofa table is also from Southern Enterprises at Target! It is only $129.99.

The Lamp:

I really love the Emery Floor Lamp from Pottery Barn. Originally $499, it’s on sale for $399. Luckily I found this Illuminada Glass Ball Floor Lamp that is half of that!

The Rug:

This Nate Berkus (LOVE him) Diamond Area rug from Target is a great neutral and will add a fantastic layer and awesome texture to your room!

The Pillows:

Ask my friends and they will tell you that I am a sucker for two things when it comes to shopping for our house: pillows and blankets. I think both items can completely change the look of your room! Don’t be shy: Colors don’t have to match, mix up the textures and fabrics, and patterns.

The Details:

A room isn’t complete without some decorative accessories.
