Of the 2003 production of It’s a Fabulous
Life!, Theater Critic Mary Damiano wrote, “IT’S A FABULOUS LIFE is a HIT!
Guaranteed to become a Holiday tradition!”

 GaySouthFlorida.com reviewer Alan Saban
wrote, “… move over you tired Fab Five, this fabulous new show could be
showing up everywhere in years to come! It could easily be dubbed the gay
NUTCRACKER for its holiday appeal to the GLBT community.”

And
they were right!

the Holiday Hit of last season, is back in 2004 – Funnier, Friskier and more
Fabulous than ever!

After a 2 weekend run in Miami, It’s a Fabulous Life is heading to
The Broward Center for the Performing Arts

in Ft. Lauderdale!

IT’S A FABULOUS LIFE

is a take off on the Christmas classic, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. The lead
character, Joe, is having a very rough holiday season, writing and starring in
"The Lavender Players" production of RANDOLPH THE RAINBOW REINDEER. Family
tensions and backstage backstabbing cause him to wish he had never been
born…GAY! An angel comes and shows him how things would be different if he
had been straight! Along the way he encounters buff boys (WARNING!
BRIEF ESKIMO NUDITY!
) drag queens, unusual elves, even a heavenly
Gospel Choir, and he starts to look at being gay in a whole new way.

Written by local author, David (THE
NATURE OF THE BEACH
) Sexton,
FAB LIFE was originally a script to accompany
The

South Beach Gay Men’s Chorus
2001
Christmas Concert. So many people asked him about it that he was inspired to
flesh the concert script out into a real musical, complete with original songs
– lyrics by Mr. Sexton, music by Albert
(PAGEANT)
Evans
with Eric Alsford and Andrew
Sargent.

Returning to direct the show is Broadway Director,
Robert Johanson
. Mr. Johanson is
known for directing famous faces in familiar favorites. Having helmed the
renowned WIZARD OF OZ at Madison Square Garden with
Roseanne
and the National Tour
starring Eartha Kitt and
Mickey Rooney
, as well as FOLLIES
with Ann Miller, MAME with
Christine Ebersole
, and ANYTHING
GOES with Chita Rivera, Mr.
Johanson is thrilled to be back in Florida with the show he helped make such a
success last year.

IT’S
A FABULOUS LIFE opens at the Byron Carlyle Theater – 71st Street,
Miami Beach on Thursday Nov. 25 at 8p with performances scheduled for Fri.
Nov. 26 at 8p, Sat. Nov. 27 at 7p and 10p and Sun. Nov. 28 at 4p. The same
